Journey WITH Charissa

This is what we're up to now

Charissa knows her hair and my hair and she seems to know now not to PULL hair.

Other recent developments:

  1. Brett recently taught her to say "mmmMMMMMmmmm" when we ask her if something is good. The other night, though, she demonstrated that she understands what "good" means. Brian was sitting on the couch; she was on the other side of the coffee table. He kept hearing her say, "mmmMMMMMmmmm," so he went to check it out. She was drinking the remnants of Bart's Diet Coke.
  2. Last night, Bart came home and plopped his hat on Charissa's head and it fell over her face. Instead of taking it off, she made the "all gone" sign with her hands and kept saying, "Aaaaa? Aaaaa? Aaaa?" like, "Where's Charissa? Where's Charissa?" When Bart took it off and said, "There she is!" she laughed, put the hat back on and did it again.

Catching up a bit

If you can't tell, I've been busy.

Charissa is now cutting about 5 teeth (NO exaggeration) and she is a little fussy. Took her to the doc today because the runny nose that has accompanied the teeth has gotten yucky. She ended up with antibiotics even though it was nothing full-blown. Thank goodness for the common-sense approach Schack has.

She missed her nap today and was a bit of a bear. She has the appetite of one, too; she gained two pounds in a month!
